While it would be an exaggeration to suggest we here at POL are/were big fans of President Reagan, we would be remiss if we didn’t point out, despite claims to the contrary, how remarkably similar what President Obama has proposed, in regard to tax structure, is to what President Reagan proposed some decades ago.
To our conservative friends, it’s time to wise up. These talking heads, who so often invoke Reagan, would rather you be against some of the things President Reagan actually stood for. Keeps them in a job, you know.

What’s sadly transparent is your inability to engage in constructive debate. Are you disputing Reagan said this? No. Are you disputing Reagan’s complete flip flop on this issue? No. Are you even aware President Reagan raised taxes 11 times on the middle class during his presidency? Apparently not.
